Train tracks

These are train tracks which run through old League City. In the early 1900s there were quite a few major railroad lines running through the city, but these days you only really see trains when you're in a hurry to get somewhere.

This is the last post of the year, so I hope everyone had a wonderful 2006 and has an even better 2007!

urgh the swtiching station in webster DRIVES ME NUTS... they are always moving a car or two around lunch time..... great considering those same tracks run very near my work, and between work and most food sources and home.

in the late 1950's, 60's, and early 70's, I would walk the tracks. League City was different during those decades; a boy could be a boy without fear. It seems like I walked everywhere, sampling a culture that is gone today.
